If you ever see the students at school doomscroll during class while the teacher is teaching, you might have seen a meme called “City boii”. It depicts a character from Gravity Falls (a children's show btw) repeating the phrase “City boii”.
Now as the coolest person throughout Brampton (a pretty low bar), I knew of this meme before it became popular. Showing it to my feeble-minded peers who have an IQ of room temperature in celsius, caused them to be confused. A conversation between me and a certain Rayan Ahmed went something along the lines of this:
Me: "City boii"
Rayan: "Dawg, don't you got an exam next period."
Me: "Yeah"
Rayan: "You gonna study, instead of yelling city boii."
Me: "No"
Rayan: "This why you got a 60% last time on the unit test"
Me: "Bro, you’re such a city boii"
Safe to say, I don’t think Rayan thinks of me as a friend anymore because now his profile shows “Blocked” on Instagram instead of his name. I wonder what that means… Anyways you must be wondering, how did “City Boii” change my life? Well shortly after this, a small rapper named “Drake” or something, asked if I wanted to feature in his song. I asked why. He said he was in love with the way I express myself using terms like “City Boii”. Calmly I replied “Stop with the glaze, lil bro,” and he gave me a life changing amount of money ($20). Well the rest is history. I’m dropping my album with him. Hopefully, he can become a mainstream rapper and good friends with Kendrick Lamar.
