On Thursday, March 5th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, the Muslim Student Association hosted its annual Iftar Night. This night was filled with happiness and joy as everyone got together to break their fast for the day.
The event began as people came in and socialized with their friends and family. They got to know each other and the school. There was a photobooth where family and friends could take pictures, and a henna stand for them to get their henna done. There was also a refresher stand with tea and coffee for anyone who wanted it. For the children, there were activities to keep them entertained.
As everyone slowly arrived and took their seats in the cafeteria, the MSA presented their work, activities, and events that took place around the school. This informed families and future students about the club. In this presentation, they talked about different events that had already taken place around the school, like the recent bake sale and shawarma sale.
At around 6 PM, everyone gathered together around the cafeteria to break their fast with dates, samosas, and oranges. Later, dinner was served, and everyone lined up to get their meals. There was the main meal was served along with pizza and many desserts that the guests brought. Everything looked amazing and tasted delicious.
To end off the night, everyone had the chance to participate in a Kahoot and Blooket game where they won prizes. Questions were centered around general knowledge about Islam and Ramadan. At around 7:45 PM, the event ended, and cleanup began.
For another year, the MSA had a successful Iftar Night. Family, friends, students, and staff all enjoyed it. People left feeling great for attending this event, and the staff and students of the MSA felt proud of hosting it. Everyone will be waiting for the next ones to come.
