Spring Fling is an annual spring school dance hosted by the Students’ Activity Council. After months of hard work and planning, the council hosted the event on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm in the cafeteria. The event was a huge success, with over 200 students attending.
The event started off with a game of limbo. Students were challenged to walk under pool noodles without falling. In the end three students succeeded and took home their very own trophy. The next game was a musical chairs scavenger hunt. In this round, students played the conventional musical chairs. However, when the music stopped, one of the hosts of the event would announce an item. Participants then had to run to get the item and make it back to their chairs. The student that did not find a seat was out. Many students described the games as a fun way to spice up the dance. A participant by the name of Himran Inyayat even went out of her way to say she was “...glad to be a part of it [the games].”
Spring Fling’s last and final segment was, of course, the dancing. Like any good event, there was a surprise waiting for attendees. As soon as the DJ hit play, our school’s very own dance team performed a dance recital composed of hip hop and dance music. Students went wild, with some calling it the “best surprise ever."
The dance was a huge success and was well-received by attendees. SAC’s Spring Fling’s Tropical Paradise was definitely a night to remember.
