On Thursday, February 12th, the Muslim Students Association (MSA) hosted a bake sale in the commons during lunch to raise funds for their upcoming events. Members of the MSA contributed by preparing a variety of delicious homemade treats, including cupcakes, cheesecakes, and cookies.

Members of the MSA worked together to sell items while also speaking with other students about the importance of raising money for future MSA events. Prices were kept reasonable and affordable to encourage more people to come, and the line grew as lunch progressed.

According to one of the MSA members, Amira Ali, the goal of the bake sale was to fundraise and bring awareness to the club and to its goals of creating a welcoming space for the Muslim community in our school. “The money raised will go towards future school-wide events, such as the Iftar event,” Amira said.

The event attracted a huge crowd of students who bought from the bake sale. Alisha Jude, who was one of the students who attended, said this about the event: “I felt it was an amazing experience. So many of the treats were homemade, which made it feel authentic, and I liked how I was able to support a good cause.” Based on this reflection, it seems like this event was a huge success.
